ROYAL PARTY GOES TO FESTIVAL
(Rec 8 p.m.) LONDON, November 7. Britain's television viewers saw the ceremony tonight in the Albert Hall. London, when the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, and Princess Margaret attended the annual festival of remembrance. . ... Earlier it had been announced’- “In this Coronation year for our young Queen, the festival will not be only a service of remembrance, but an act of rededication of service.” A sprav of red Flanders poppies pinned at the shoulder provided the only touch of colour on the Queen's black two-piece suit and small black hat. _ Before the arrival of the Royal Party, the audience of 5000 watched 400 British Legion veterans carrying branch standards march through the arena to a dais followed by detachments of the three services and women’s services. A cross in memory of Queen Mary was the first to be erected yesterday after the dedication service at the Empire Field of Remembrance in St. Margaret’s churchyard, Westminster.
