CHURCH BROADCASTS
VIEWS OF BAPTIST MINISTER
“Most, of what comes over the air in the children’s hour is tripe; the church should grasp the opportunity of presenting through this session the Christian message and sde that the essential message of the Bible is not obscured, by trivialities,” said the Rev. N. R. Wood, when discussing church broadcasts at, the assembly of the New Zealand Baptist Union on Friday. Ministers and the churches should shake off their self-complacency on the matter, for it was time that personal prestige, church jealousies, and such things were laid aside and th,e best men chosen for the task, he said. Seventeen men were elected to the New Zealand Baptist College Board, who, with the executive officers of the union, will control the affairs of the Baptist College, Auckland, ' for next year. They are as follows: the Revs. R. G. Brown, F. H. Carter, J. T. Crozier, A. H. Finlay, R. C. Hart, F. H. Lloyd, B. T. J. Pritchard, A. L. Silcock, J. E. Simpson, R. J. Thompson, N. R. Wood, Messrs T.
