TECHNICAL COLLEGE APPOINTMENT

HEAD OF ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

Mr A. S. Prime, head of the electrical section of the Technical Correspondence School, Wellington, has been appointed head of the engineering department of the. Christchurch Technical College. The appointment was recommended by a sub-committee and approved by the board of managers of the college last evening. Responsible for the professional engineering, engineers’ assistants, and industrial management courses at the college. Mr Prime is a bachelor of engineering and holds a diploma of education. He is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Engineers. A member of the Wellington Institute for Educational Research. Mr Prime represents the New Zealand Post-Primary Teachers’ Association on several trade and educational bodies. He has attended several courses for teachers and instructors. Mr Prime* had been an examiner for the Education Department the motor trade and the Now Zealand trades certification boards.
