OPEN DAY AT LINCOLN COLLEGE NEXT MONTH

Canterbury Agricultural College, Lincoln, will be open for inspection by the public bn the afternoon of Saturday, December 5. On arrival at the college groups of visitors will be taken on a conducted tour to show them its various activities. In the horticultural section will be seen plant propagation, vegetable growing and the orchard. Dairy cows and calves, pigs, poultry and sheep will be seen at close quarters, and farm machinery of all kinds will be on display. A comprehensive exhibit will be seen in the wool room, and visitors will be able to inspect the new residential accommodation in Hudson Hall.

Afternoon tea will be provided, but visitors are asked to bring their own cups and food. The open day is intended to provide an opportunity for town people and their families to obtain first-hand knowledge of a farm and all its activities.
