READY FOR AIR RACE.—This ground-controlled approach radar unit is now set almost beside the middle of the main runway at Harewood to guide aircraft in landing in case of poor visibility for the finish of the London-Christchurch air race at the week-end. This equipment, worth £210,000, has been lent by the Royal Australian Air Force.
