THE ROYAL VISIT The clothes smart New Zealand women will wear during the Royal visit will be shown in a parade in “Hartnell” Fashions presented * in Beaths, on Wednesday, September 23rd. in aid of the Chrjstchurch Plunket Society, and opened by the Dominion President of the Society, Mrs W. A. Bodkin. Besides four original Hartnell frocks, every dress is a faithful copy of, a Hartnell model. All are hand made, and all are for sale. One made by Hartnell is an exact replica of the magnificent gown he designed for the Countess of Leicester to wear in the Abbey on Coronation Day. Made of heavy pink brocade, this beautiful frock has a fitted bodice pointed at the waist, and a voluminous skirt worn over a stiffened petticoat. The Parade commences at 8 p.m., preceded by cocktails and savouries at 7.15, and followed by supper. Dress is formal. Cocktail or Evening. Some seats priced at 30/-, are still obtainable at Beaths Cloak Counter, on the first floor. Advt.
