CANTERBURY CLUB The Canterbury Pigeon Flying club held an old-bird race from Oamaru recently. About 100 birds were entered and struck bad weather. The tvinning bird, owned by R. Taylor, Hew the distance of 136 miles 742 yards In Shr smin 42sec. Results:— R. Taylor (785 yards a minute), 1; E. Goslln (784) 2, N. Stringer (783 ) 3, B. Bolding (760) 4, E. Barker (639) 5. E. Seeker (633). A. Thomas (632 ) 7, F. Brownie (593) 8. H. Clemens (586) 9. J. Crowther (583) 10, K. Hartland (582) 11, J. Howatson (551) 12. T. Toon (452) 13. E. Goslin won the nominated bird prize.
