MILK FOR SCHOOLS
Sir, —I was interested to learn from the Budget that milk in schools is provided for, but wonder when the waimairi School is going to fall into line. I believe milk used to be supplied there, but was discontinued some months ago because some glass was found in bottles, and the matter was to be investigated. Surely sufficient time has now elapsed for this matter to reach a satisfactory conclusion. Apparently, from time to time there are isolated cases of glass being found in bottles, but other consumers do not see fit to discontinue completely the supply of milk. Further, the Waimairi Kindergarten, practically next door to the school, supplies Its pupils without illeffects.—Yours, etc., free milk. September 4, 1953.
