DAMAGE TO NEW CARRIER

COURT-MARTIAL FOR NAVY STOKERS (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, September 17. Two stokers, T. A. Davies and J. McLaughlin, formerly in the crew of H.M.S. Eagle, will be tried by courtmartial next month on charges arisingout of incidents which took place on board the Eagle, Britain’s latest and most modern aircraft-carrier. A third naval rating, who had been held in custody, has been released. Charges will be laid against Davies and McLaughlin under the Malicious Damage Act and the Naval Discipline Act.
