French Government officials said today that the (Mr Joseph Laniel) will visit the United States m about 10 days. The result is expected to be the frankest French and American talks to take place since the end of the war. Mr Laniel, it was said, is not going to Washington to beg for money. He considers additional financial help for the war in Indo-China is in principle settled. i?-' so cons *ders, however, that a clearer understanding fa Washington of French policy in Asia, on the European Army, and on talks with the Russians is in the interests of the consolidation of the Atlantic Alliance
