Mr J. L. Saunders, Director of the Dental Hygiene Division of the Health Department, will leave Wellington today to help to establish a school dental service in Colombo. Mr Saunders’s visit is at the invitation of the Ceylon Government, under the technical cooperation scheme of the Colombo Plan. —(PA.) Mr R. Beattie was re-elected by the Victory Park Board .last evening to another year’s term as its member representing sports and athletic pastimes other than football or cricket. Three nominations were received by the board. Mr T. F. Kennedy, a master at the Christchurch Tephnical College, has been elected a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. Mr Kennedy, who spent the last two years teaching in England, took a master of arts degree in geography at Canterbury University College. Mr L. J. T. Andrews of the teaching staff of the Melbourne Church of England School, Victoria, has been appointed mathematics and science master at the Papanui Technical SchooL Mr T. J. Kirk-Burnnand has been appointed music master at the Papanui Technical SchooL
