MAGISTRATE’S COURT AT RANGIORA
LICENSING OFFENCES Stanley Robert Ihle, licensee of the Sefton Hotel, was convicted of selling liquor after hours and fined £3 at a sitting of the Rangiora Magistrate’s Court yesterday, before Mr Rex. C. Abernethy, S -M. On a charge of being a person other than the licensee and selling liquor after hours, Mabel Eileen Ihle, wife of the licensee, was fined £7. ‘
Sub-Inspector J. C. Fletcher, who prosecuted, said that the offences occurred while the licensee was absent in the North Island, his wife being in charge. The time was about 8.30 p.m. On a charge of. being on the Sefton Hotel premises after hours the following were each fined £1: Ronald Ashley, Keith Allan Bennie, Dawson Boyce, William Allan Cameron, Ronald Chinnery, Barney Churchill, Denis Gard Dalzell, Thomas Maxwell Fleming, George Noel Fussell, Allan H. Hanna, lan Hannah, Melville Hugh Henderson, William Georg e Henderson, Ivan McNally, and William Thornton Muir.
LIQUOR NEAR DANCE HALL For being found in possession of liquor near a hall while a dance was in progress the following were each fined £3: Ronald Asquith, Ronald Charles Beveridge, Arthur Brian Leonard, Colin Wilnam Mills and Ronald Graham Pitcaithly.
