ECONOMIC RESOURCES TO BE OPENED (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) THE HAGUE, Sept. 15. Holland would continue exploration to open up the economic resources of Dutch New Guinea, Queen Juliana of the Netherlands said today in a speech from the throne on the opening of Parliament. She added that the Spiritual and social welfare and political education of the population have the Government’s continued attention. The Government’s policy would be to further the good relations between Holland and Indonesia. The Finance Minister (Mr Johan van de Kieft), introducing Holland’s 1954 Budget, forecast a tax reduction of 517,000,000 guilders (about £51,700,000).
