Elsa Stralia Scholarship.—The first award of the Elsa Stralia Scholarship has been made to Miss Joy Mammen, an 18-year-old lyric soprano, of Melbourne. The scholarship, which is open to Australians and New Zealanders and is valued at £2OO, is made available through the will of Elsa Stralia, which requires the recipient to be in her eighteenth year and to show “outstanding promise as a singer.”
