LAUNDERERS AND DRY CLEANERS
N.Z. RESEARCH INSTITUTE CONVENTION "One hundred delegates from all parts of the Dominion will attend the sixth annual convention of the Research Institute of Launderers, Dry Cleaners, and Dyers of New Zealand, which will begin at Hanmer Springs today. There are also two delegates from Melbourne, and the New Zealand delegates include managers of hospital board laundries. During the convention, which will last for three days, a series of addresses dealing with scientific and technical matters of interest to the industry will be given, and forum discussions will also be held. The president of the organisation is Mr H M. Taylor, of Wellington. In his annual report he will refer to the granting of affiliated group membership privileges to the South Australian launderers and dry cleaners. They applied to become members of the institute, as there is no similar organisation in Australia.
