N.Z. HOMESERVICEMEN’S ASSOCIATION

Mr K. L. Fisher, a popular member of the Christchurch branch of the New Zealand Homeservicemen’s Association since it was established about 10 years ago, was given a farewell party recently. Mr Fisher has been transferred to Dunedin.

Tlie president (Mr H. Whittaker) presented Mr Fisher with a cigarette case and an inscribed lighter. Mr P. Hailes, of Timaru, president of the South Canterbury branch, presented him with six serviette rings. Miss J. Logie, 'women’s vice-president and hostess, presented to Mrs Fisher, on behalf of the executive, an inscribed silver sandwich tray. •

Another presentation during the evening was that of a wedding gift f o a former officer of the branch, Mr E. Osmond-Smith. Shoulder sprays were presented to Mrs Fisher and Mrs Osmond-Smith.
