POLICE FORCE PROMOTIONS
PAPERS FILED IN TEST CASE (New Zealand Press Association)
WELLINGTON, August 6. Papers were filed in the Supreme Court at Wellington today to initiate an to test the validity of the recent promotions of three police sergeants to the rank of inspector. The Minister in charge of Police (Mr W. H. Fortune) has withheld in the meantime the gazetting of the promotions.
