RIFLE SHOOTING
WAIKARI CLUB Shooters from all parts 6f North Canterbury took part in an outdoor shoot held by the Waikari Miniature Rifle Club. Although a gusty wind made accurate shooting difficult the scoring was uniformly good. Following were the best totals:— 50 yards.—T. Smith (Culverden) 80.5, R. Marsden (Waikari) 80.5, Mrs Shadbolt (Waikari) 79.6, B. Purchas (Culverden) 78.4, W. Earl (Waikari) 78.4.
100 yards.—K. Sutherland (Waikari) 78.2, J. Lublow (Waikari) 77.3, Mrs Atkinson (Waikari 77.1, L. P. Honeybone (Waikari) 77.1.
Aggregate.—T. Smith 156.7, R. Marsden 156.6, K. Sutherland 155.4, L. P. Honeybone 155.4,
Novelty Shoot (sporting rifles) 20 yards.—B. Hoban (Culverden) 119, L. Fleming (Culverden) 110, T. Smith (Culverden) 109, L. P. Honeybone (Waikari) 104.
