RACE INQUIRY AT BATH
(Rec. 8 p.m.) LONDON. August 5. Leonard Phillips, of Dinas, was arrested in South Wales today and charged with having cut the telephone cable to the Bath racecourse on July
The break in the cable, which carried bookmakers’ telephones to the course, prevented bookmakers in many parts of Britain from laying off 10 to one bets on a horse run as Francasal. which won.
