| PROFESSOR P. E. VERNON, OF LONDON I (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND. Julv 31. A leading British psychologist. Professor P. E. Vernon, will lecture at four New Zealand universitv colleges during a six weeks’ tour of New Zealand. He has occupied the chair of educational psychology at the University of London since 1949. Professor Vernon, accompanied by' his wife, win arrive on Monday by air from Australia, where he" has visited universities in Perth, Mel- i bourne, and Sydney. His visit is sponsored by the British Council. In Auckland, he will meet the Pub- | lie Service Commission. Professor Vernon heads a similar organisation in Britain, the Civil Service Selection Board. He will also have talks with the naval authorities, because during ■the Second World War he was chief psychologist to the Admiralty.
