Power for Milford Hotel

_ A power station to serve the new Milford Hotel and adjacent buildings will be built on the edge of Milford Sound near Bowen Falls. It is expected to be in use toward the end of the tourist season next year. The generating set will supply 300 kilowatts. The water supply for the generators will be drawn from above the Bowen Falls, but the quantity of water that will be needed will not detract from tne beauty of the falls. The water for the station will be drawn from a small intake weir above the falls and will drop 800 feet to the power house on the edge of Milford Sound. Tenders will*be called soon for the fabrication of pipes.
