N.Z. NATIONAL AIRWAYS
NEW COMMERCIAL MANAGER APPOINTMENT OF MR W. J. JENNINGS (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 31. • a ’ J - Jennings has been appointed commercial manager of the National Airways Corporation. He will be responsible for passenger and freight traffic operations, reservation control, and the direction of a new selling organisation set up to handle extra business expected by the end of this year. Mr Jennings has been connected with airline operations in New Zealand since their inception, and was a member of the staff of Union Airways in 1936. He joined toe 2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force soon after the outbreak of war. and served in Egypt and Italy. After the war, he returned to Union Airways, and was subsequently appointed chief clerk when that airline was absorbed by the National Aiways Corporation. Last March. Mr Jennings was appointed personal assistant to the general manager (Mr J. J. Busch). He will take up his new duties tomorrow.
