CATTLE AT ROYAL SHOW
Tuberculosis Tests Required DECISION BY SOUTHLAND ASSOCIATION (New Zealand Press Association) INVERCARGILL, July 31. The Southland Agricultural and Pastoral Association will adopt the Royal Agricultural Society’s recommendation that all cattle exhibited at this year s Royal Show be first tested for tuberculosis. This was decided at a meeting of the directors of the Southland association today. Two new sections will be included in the show schedule—one for gram and farmers’ dressed seeds, and one for milk goats. Inquiries from as far away as Shannon had been received fdr the inclusion of a section for needlework, said a report to the meeting. Because of shortage of space, this section could not be included. A sub-committee was formed to arrange for an extension to the Invercargill Show Ground to provide more space for sideshows and industrial disP The secretary (Mr A. L. Adamson) reported that the association was committed to expenditure totalling about £13,000 before October in improving and increasing facilities for the show, which the Queen will visit.
