AUCTIONS J. G. WARD AND CO., LTD. DISPERSAL SALE OF TROTTING STOCK AT THE FARM, KAPUKA, SOUTHLAND. THURSDAY, 23rd JULY, 1953, AT 12 NOON. MESSRS J. G. SHIRLEY to offer, at above time and place, his Trotting Stock, as follows: BROOD MARES: PATRICIA DERBY: Dam of Patricia HaU, by Nelson Derby (sire of Haughty, etc.) from a Mare by Desboroagh (son of Logan Pointer). Desborough mares were few in number, but they bred on, one being the dam of Prince Hall. In foal to Canova (Imp.). (Positive Test.) JULIA TODD, by Quite Sure from a Mare by Lorene Todd (Imp.). This Mare has a wealth of trotting blood, as both Quite Sure and Lorene Todd were leading sires of Trotters for many years. In foal to Stirling Castle (Dillon Hall—Stirling Lady). TRIED STOCK: WHITE WINGS (Trotter): 4-year-old Mare by Admiral Nelson from Queen Margaret, by Logan Sun from Mountain Queen, by John Dillon from Fenchild, by Rothschild.
