' WEST COAST The following is the forecast for the West Coast of the South Island:— Light winds; increasing cloud, and slowly rising temperatures, with a few isolated showers in the far south. Outlook: becoming cloudy; showers developing. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER After a frost of 10.6 degrees the day in Christchurch yesterday was fine and calm. The maximum temperature was 56.3 degrees. At midnight the sky was clear and there was no wind. The temperature was 26 degrees. The barometer, at 30.025 in (1024.3 millibars), was steady.
