INDOOR BASKETBALL
SOUTH CANTERBURY MEN FOR TRAINING
(From Our Own Reporter) TIMARU, July 13. The South Canterbury selectors have announced the selection of the following players for training for the South Island men’s indoor basketball championships at Nelson on August 1: A. S. Armstrong, F. Buglass, D. Campbell, R. Castle, W. Dobier. C. Gosney, B. Greene, W. Hilton, W. Hobbs, M. Howe, M. Jack, L. Jenkin, A. Page, D. Stewart, J. Vial, and M. White. Teams from Southland, Otago, Canterbury, Marlborough and Nelson will compete in the championships. It is the first time that South Canterbury will have competed in the A grade of the championships.
