"The Press" Special Service WELLINGTON, July 12. The weather forecast for Christchurch issued at 9 p.m. by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, and dealing with the 27 hours following the time of issue, is:— Situation: an anti-cyclone over the western Tasman Sea is moving slowly towards New Zealand. Forecast: light variable winds inland; southerlies on the coast, becoming fresh at times about Banks Peninsula; weather partly cloudy; day temperatures slowly rising. Outlook for Tuesday: fine. WEST COAST The Vollowing is the forecast for the West Cjjast of the South Island:— Light or moderate winds, easterlies predominating; fair weather; rising day temperatures. Outlook for Tuesday: fair.

CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER The weather in Christchurch yesterday was fine and sunny, after a frost of 10 degrees. There was a light southerly wind. At midnight, the sky was clear, and a moderate north-north-west wind was blowing. The temperature was 31.8 degrees. The barometer, at 30.108 inches (1022.2 millibars), was rising unsteadily.
