N.Z. PILOTS IN R.A.F. REVIEW

(Rec. 10 pum.) LONDON, July 10. Among the New Zealanders who will be flying Meteor jet fighters in the flypast before the Queen at the Royal Air Force station at Odiham on Wednesday are Squadron Leader M. Scannell, of Christchurch, and Flying Officer H. J. Gourley, of Dunedin.
The fly-past, by 639 aircraft, will be the biggest ever carried out in Britain. It will be the culmination of the Queen’s Coronation review of the Royal Air Force.
Squadron Leader Scannell joined the Royal Air Force in 1947. and holds a permanent commission. Flying Officer Gourley joined in 1950, and holds a short service commission.
