WORKERS FOR PAPER MILL

EIGHT FINNISH FAMILIES ARRIVE (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 23. Eight Finnish families, comprising 28 persons, arrived in the Monowai from Sydney this morning. They and two British families and one Swedish family, totalling six persons, will work as operators in the Kinleith pulp and paper milL The workers were engaged in Finland about three months ago. Within two days, they will walk into newly-furnished homes at Tokcroa, near Kinleith, and they will receive the gift of a week’s provisions. Fourteen families have already arrived from Canada and Australia to work at Kinleith. Twelve British families are expected to arrive soon.
