FIRE IN HOTEL AT PORT CHALMERS
VOLUNTEER BRIGADE’S PROMPT SAVE (New Zealand Press Association) DUNEDIN, June 2. A prompt save was made by members of the Port Chalmers Volunteer Fire Brigade this morning when part of the George Hotel, Port Chalmers, caught fire. The brigade confined the blaze to the kitchen, which was burnt out. Most of the other damage was caused .by smoke and water.
