OBITUARY

MR A. J. SINCLAIR

(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 2.

Mr Alexander Johnstone Sinclair, of Te Awamutu, who was for many years a leader of the dairy industry, has died at Auckland at the age of 66. He was born at Motherwell, Scotland. and came to New Zealand in 1910. Mr Sinclair's first job was as private secretary to Sir Arthur Myers, then Minister of Railways. In 1925 he formed the Te Awamutu Co-opera-tive Dairy Company, Ltd., and had been its manager ever since. For three years he represented the South Auckland ward on the New Zealand Dairy Board. He also served on the Dairy Industry Council during the war.
