ACCEPTANCES FOR DERBY
QUEEN’S HORSE JOINT FAVOURITE

LONDON, May 27. Final acceptances for'the Derby, to be run over 12 furlongs at Epsom on June 6, were declared today. Out of the original entry of 446, 34 have accepted. They are: Aureffie City Scandel, Pharel, Barrowby Court, Prince Canarina, Good Brandy, Kithyra, Durham Castle, Scipio, Craftsmart, Bandoola, Novaruilah, Empire Honey, Victory Roll, Criticism, Feller Me Lad, Peter-so-Gay, Pinza, King of Tudors. Timberland, Jaffa H, Mountain King, Chatsworth. Nearula, Shikampur, Amado Mio, Oakley Lad, Gala Performance, Fe Shalng, Prince Charlemagne, Windy, Star of the Forest, Premonition, Pink Horse. The Queen’s colt Aureole and Pinza, which the champion jockey, Gordon Richards, will ride, were made joint 4 to 1 favourites for the Derby at the callover at London’s Victoria Club tonight Since the last callover Nearula has bruised a foot and there are doubts whether he Will participate in the race. Quotations were: 4 to 1 Aureole and Pinza: 7 to 1 Premonition; 100 to 7 Good Brandy; 100 to 6 Novaruilah and Nearula; 18 to I Star of the Forest; 20 to 1 Empire Honey and Pharel: 22 to 1 Shikampur; 25 to 1 Chatsworth; 33 to 1 Prince Canarina and Mountain King; 40 to 1 Pink Horse; 50 to 1 Prince Charlemagne and Feller Me Lad; 66 to 1 Victory Roll and King of Tudors.
