Lord Milford's Eastern Emperor today won the Winston Churchill Stakes, run over one mile and three-quarters at Hurst Park, Surrey. Results:— EASTERN EMPEROR (HyperionBrave Empress) 8-11 W. Rickaby 1 Bold Buccaneer 8-4 A. Breasley 2 Judicate 8-9 W. Carr 3 Four started. Five lengths; neck. Time, 3min 10 3-ssec. Betting: 5-2, 11-4, 9-4. Eastern Emperor, trained by J. Jarvis, won £2537, out of a stake Of £2985.
