CANTERBURY GUNNERS’ ASSOCIATION
TRIBUTE PAID TO K FORCE A tribute to the artillery units at present serving in Korea was paid by Brigadier J. T. Burrows at the annual reunion of the Canterbury Gunners’ Association in Christchurch on Saturday evening. Brigadier Burrows said that any praise given to the regiments in Korea was fully justified, as the units were maintaining the reputation set by previous gunners. Brigadier Burrows and Colonel R. C. Wickens were the guests of honour at the reunion.
The following officers were elected at the annual meeting earlier in the evening:—
Patron, Brigadier C. E. Weir; president Mr F. S: E. Neate; vice-president, Mr R. K. Baker; secretary Mr C. H. Francis; treasurer, Mr F. H. A. Lamb; committee, Messrs Hoffman, W. M. S. Mackie, A. B. McDiarmid, A. S. M. Wiffin, C. R. Clements J. D. Murray, H S. Jones and W. Nicholls; auditor, Mr F, Murray.
