NORTH CANTERBURY RESULTS

The North Canterbury Young Farmers’ district stock judging competitions were held at Oxford recently. The judges were as follows:—Romneys, Mr I. Oakley; Southdowns. Mr Jas. Petrie; Corriedale, Mr R. Reid: fat lambs, Mr E. Knowles: dairy cattle, Mr C. W. Humm; beef cattle, Mr J. Skurr; horses, Mr R. F,. Adair; pigs, Mr L. M. Ward. Results were:—Teams’ competition. Hawarden-Waikari Young Farmers’ Club; Romney*, P. Carr; Southdowns, K. Wells; Corriedales. P. Winter; fat lambs, C. Thompson; dairy cattle, T. Hassall; beef cattie, J. Gardner; horses. P. Carr; pigs, p. Buchanan. Highest aggregate: D Buchanan 1, IP. Cart 4. The North Canterbury section winners l competed as the district team at the . national stock judging competition held at Timaru recently, at which 19 teams, i representing more than 100 competitors, • took part. The following places were i secured:— Hensen shield for highest team aggre-
