LICENCE FOR HOSTEL AT ARTHUR’S PASS
HEAVY CAPITAL OUTLAY INVOLVED
, Requirements laid down by the Licensing Control Commission in its decision bf November 30. 1951, for a licence for the hostel at Arthur’s Pass entailed such a heavy capital outlay that the owner was unable to comply witii them, said a report to the Arthur’s. Pass National Park Board at its annual meeting yesterday. Representations have been made to the Commission to defer some of these requiranents, such as the building of a new wing. until business warrants the capital outlay. The Selwyn Licensing Committee had recently inspected the hostel, but no decision was available, said the report.
