60 MAU MAU KILLED

(Rec. 10.30 p.m.) NAIROBI, May 8. More than 60 Mau Mau terrorists have been killed or wounded in the last two days in a series of running battles with military and Kikuyu Home Guard units in the Fort Hall and the Nyeri Reserves, it was announced today. Sixteen terrorists were killed when 300 attacked the police camp in the Nyeri Reserve. The others, taking some wounded with them, were then driven off. This gang had earlier attacked the Ihuririo village and the Home Guard headquarters at Kairuthl.
