SOUTH AFRICA’S WOOL SEASON
(N.Z.P.A .—Reuter—Copyright) CAPE TOWN, April 9. South Africa is having one of its best wool seasons, said Mr C. F. Bruce, in his presidential address to the South African Wool and Mohair Brokers’ Association in Durban. He warned that South African wool would have to face increasingly keen competition from synthetic fibres. Wool was also becoming too robust and losing its fineness. Mr Bruce said there had been a great increase in trade with Japan, and a marked decline in exports to the United States during the season. BRADFORD TOPS QUOTATIONS LONDON, April 9.
