Game and Fishing Licences.—Re- : ceipts from both game and fishing j licences increased by £607 in the year : ended March 31, 1953, according to a i report made to the council of the ; North Canterbury Acclimatisation Sor ciety last evening. Game licence re- [ ceipts for the 1952-53 season were £2350 (compared with £2296 the previous year), and fishing receipts for 1952-53 £ 4246 (£3705). Gross sales of swan eggs totalled £925, compared with £461 th« previous year.
