REPRESENTATIVES AT CORONATION
Western Samoa And Cook Islands N.Z. CABINET’S DECISION (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 10. Representatives from Western Samoa and the Cook Islands will be invited by the New Zealand Government to attend the Coronation in London. When the Cabinet adjourned this evening, the Prime Minister (Mr Holland) sent telegrams to the Hon Tamasese, a member of the Fatua and Legislative Counci! of Western Samoa, and Mrs Tamasese, and to the Hon. Makea Nui Teremoana Ariki and her husband, Mr Tau Cowan, inviting them to attend as official representatives of Western Samoa and the Cook Islands respectively. (M?T Island Territories (Mi 1. c. SEA CADETS CHOSEN VOYAGE TO BRITAIN IN BLACK PRINCE (New' Zealand Press Association) on, i WELLINGTON. March 10. The selection of the eight Sea Cadets to the United Kingdom in H.M.N.Z.S. Black Prince on her Coronation cruise has been completed Two have been selected from each of the four centres—one from a school unit, and the other from an open unit ~? b ? v are: —Auckland, W. A. Kells (Northcote College unit) and B W Thompson (open unit); Wellington B J Meadowcroft (Scots College ukit) auu. U; v - Trueman (open unit)Christchurch, D. J. Collins (Christ: church Boys’ High School unit) and L. D. Payne (open unit); Dunedin, C s High School unit) and J. R. Sinclair (open unit). The cadets will leave in the Black Prince from Auckland on March 17. Thev wfll be part of the ship's company on the voyage to the United Kingdom and return, and while in Britain will be the guests of the Navy League of Great Britain for the Coronation celebrations.
