Several of the 23 K Force men who returned by air to Wellington today were wearing the boots issued to them to keep out Korea’s winter cold. The boots, which cost £2O a pair, have a plastic inner sole, and are* made so that the air can circulate under the foot. The heavy rubber soles are figured with projections similar to clinkers, and hob nails which prevent snow clinging to them. Men with the boots said it took some time to get used to wearing them because they were unusually heavy. The party was welcomed back by an official party including the Minister of Defence (Mr T. L. Macdonald) and the Leader of the Opposition (Mr Nash). DRAFT FOR AUCKLAND DELAYED (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, February 18. The draft of 23 K Force men which was due to arrive at Auckland at 4.15 p.m. today will not arrive until about 8.14 a.m. tomorrow. The draft has been delayed in Sydney by an upsetting of flying schedules.
