Australian Travel Allowances
The Prime Minister (Mr R. G. Menzies) announced tonight that Australian tourists travelling in the sterling area would now be permitted to spend up to £750 in sterling. This
increase on the previous limit of £5OO had been made possible by the improvement in Australia’s external financial position,—Canberra, Feb. 16.
