DOMINION TITLE MEETING (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND. February 16. L. Taylor, a 42-year-old Lower Hutt clerk, won the men’s clout event when the sixth New Zealand archery tournament began at Eden Park today. Although she forgot to shoot one arrow in the first series, Mrs J. Aspin, of the Lincoln Green Club, Waiuku, comfortably took the women’s clout title by 19 points. D. Campbell, of Christchurch, won the under 18 intermediate boys’ clout with the excellent total of 26$ points. Miss V. Hinchco, of ‘Auckland, took the intermediate girls’ clout almost unopposed, and the 15-year-old Alison Park star, K. Warner, won the junior boys’ clout with 258 points. In the clout shoot the 45ft target is marked on the ground from distances ranging from 120 yards for juniors to 180 yards for the men. The archers shoot in high arcs on to the target. The Mayor of Auckland (Sir John Allum) opened the chaiiipionsqK'ps by shooting an arrow. More than 100 archers competed. Results of the events, which all had a possible of 324, were:— Men’s Clout (180 yards).—L. Taylor (Randwick, Lower Hutt), 232 points, 1; V. Lavey (Gisborne), 216 points, 2; R. Hood (Auckland), 203 points, 3; A. Moulday (Alison Park), 202 points, 4. Women’s Clout (140 yards).—Mrs J. Aspin (Lincoln Green t> Waiuku), 231 points, 1; Miss N. Partington (Alison Park, North Shore), 212 points, 2; Miss D. De Clive-Lowe (Auckland), 202 points, 3; Miss E. Partington (Alison Park), 200 points, 4. Intermediate Boys’ Clout (140 yards).— D. Campbell (Christchurch), 264 ponts, 1; N. Wright (Alison Park), 176 points, 2; L. Moss (Gisborne), 105 points, 3; G.' Smart (Auckland), 88 points, 4. Intermediate Girls’ Clout (140 yards).— Miss V. Hinchco (Auckland), 121 points, 1; Miss B. Bishop (Auckland), no score, 2. Junior Boys’ Clout (120 yards).—K. Warner (Alison Park), 258 points, 1: L. Amy (Auckland), 249 points, 2; G.
