“REVIVAL OUR GREATEST NEED”

Sir,—My father was an atheist. He taught us that the Bible was a good book if read as ancient history, but as a revelation from the Creator of the universe it was an insult to the intelligence. My father was a good husband and father, a good citizen and a faithful friends. All my life I have worked with men to whom Christ’s name was an oath. I could write a book on the unselfishness of these men and their humanitarian deeds. Professor Lyndall said: “If I wished to find men who are scrupulous in their adherence to engagements, whose words are their bond and to whom moral shiftiness of any kind is subjectively unknown, if I wanted a lovmg father, a faithful husband, an honourable neighbour and a just citizen, I should seek him and find him among the band of atheists of my acquaintance.”—Yours, etc., , FACTS. January 19, 1953.
