FRIESIAN BREAKS WORLD RECORD

LONDON. November 11

A six-year-old Friesian cow, Ranby Lovely, yesterday broke the world butterfat production records, says the “Daily Express.” With the last of three daily milkings, each of 1 1-3 gallons, she brought her production to 1686.71b—--41b more than the previous record. She has done this in 364 days. The previous record was established on 365 days’ production. Owned by Britain’s war-time Minister of Agriculture (Lord Hudson), Ranby Lovely is now known as “Lovely Lady Manningford.” She was one of 120 Friesians on Lord Hudson’s 1500-acre property at Manningford, Wiltshire.

The New Zealand record is held by a pedigree Jersey cow, Woodlands Felicie. She produced 1220.891 b of butterfat in 365 days.
