Straight Superphosphate. The executive of the Marlborough provincial . district of Federated Farmers does not intend to proceed with the forwarding of a remit requesting a return to straight superphosphate in the South Island. This information was contained in a letter from the executive received at a meeting of the North Canterbury executive “Inquiries have shown that if this question was pressed to a successful conclusion, it would almost certainly lead to rationing,” said the letter. At the same time, Messrs Kempthorne, Prosser, Ltd. had advised that their standard mixture would contain 25 per cent, of ground rock instead of lime, so that no further difficulty should be encountered by the mixture becoming caked. Samples of the new mixture arriving in the district showed that it appeared to be a very much better fertiliser than the previous mixtures.
