ALLEN WINS FLYWEIGHT TITLE

LONDON. October 21. Terry Allen, of London, won the British, fiy-welght championship tonight by beating Eric Marsden, of Lancashire. The referee stopped the fight in the sixth round after Marsden had collapsed with a leg injury. Though behind on pointe, Marsden was doing well when he fell crying out “My leg. my leg. Don't touch it* The referee began to count, but stopped at eight and called e doctor into the ring. The doctor found that Marsden had injured a sciatic nerve which caused excruciating pain and rendered the leg temporarily powerless. Previously Marsden had been down tor eight in the second round.
