SUMNER BEACH PATROLS

The deterioration of Sumner beach would probably cause more people to bathe in Clifton bay (between Cave Rock and Shag Rock, nearer Christchurch), although this area was somewhat dangerous, it was stated at the annual meeting of the Canterbury Surf and Life Saving Association last evening. The Sumner club had no option but to extend its patrol there. A deputation would attend the next meeting of the City Council to ask for help with accommodation.
