Outlook: rain at times, chiefly south of Hokitika. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER The day in Christchurch yesterday was fine, with a light north-east wind. The maximum temperature was 60 degrees. At midnight the sky was almost clear, and there was a light wind from the north-east. The temperature was 51.2 degrees. The barometer, at 29.764 inches (1007.9 millibars), was falling unsteadily.
