NEW AWARD ISSUED

STOCK AGENTS’ CLERICAL WORKERS Minimum rates of salaries are fixed in the new award for New Zealand (except Westland) stock and station agents’ clerical workers issued by the Arbitration Court. Salaries of male workers range from £195 for the first year to £582 17s 4d for the fourteenth year, and thereafter on merit. Salaries of female workers range from £lB7 10s for the first year to £3BB 5s for the ninth year, and thereafter on merit. Junior employees transferred from their home town during the first, second, third, fourth or fifth year of service will be. paid a boarding allowance. The rates of pay for casual male workers over 21 years of age will be £9 9s 8d a week, and for those under 18 years £6 4s 4d a week. The rate for female workers is £5 3s 9d a week.
